1. Delete from the app (fastest)
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Delete Account.
- Verify the OTP sent to your registered phone number.
- Confirm deletion. Your session ends immediately and deletion begins.
2. Request via the web (no app needed)
If you no longer have the app installed, email us and we will process the deletion for you:

Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include: your registered phone number and/or email, and which app the account belongs to (FoodValve / Vendor / Ops).
To protect your account, we will verify ownership (e.g. an OTP to your registered phone/email) before deleting.
3. What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, phone number, email, employee details and preferences — is removed or irreversibly anonymised.
- Saved favourites, ratings authorship, notification tokens and active sessions are deleted.
- Active subscriptions are cancelled; unused employer subsidy simply lapses (it has no cash value).
4. What we must retain (and why)

Retained records are no longer linked to a usable account profile.
5. Processing timeline
- Deletion (or verified web request) is acknowledged within 48 hours.
- Account and personal data are deleted/anonymised within 30 days of the verified request.
- Backup copies cycle out of systems within a further 90 days.
6. Vendor accounts
Vendor owner accounts have contractual and financial obligations (pending payouts, tax records, staff accounts). Vendor deletion requests are handled through vendor support — email support@foodvalve.com — and take effect after outstanding settlements are closed. Vendor staff accounts can be removed at any time by the vendor owner from Team & Roles.
Deletion is permanent. Your order history, subscriptions and preferences cannot be recovered. If you rejoin the same workplace later, a new account will be required.
